What is Rhino Bet?

Launched in 2020, the Rhino Bet sports betting site is operated by Playbook Engineering, which provides platforms for a number of UK betting operators, supplying the technology needed to run an online sportsbook while allowing each brand to apply its own site design. Playbook Engineering is a UK-based company that is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, meaning the site operates under UKGC rules and consumer protections.

Rhino Bet describes its aim as providing a streamlined approach to betting with a focus on the features customers use most. It offers both sports betting and casino games such as blackjack, roulette and slots, presented through an uncluttered desktop site and app with a simple, high-contrast colour scheme.

On safer gambling tools, RhinoBet allows customers to set daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits. There is also the option to enable “Reality Checks”, which are notifications that interrupt a session after set periods of time to indicate how long it has lasted. At the bottom of the Rhino Bet UK home page there are links to organisations that provide help with gambling-related harm, a feature commonly found at other sports betting sites.

Rhino Bet Sign Up Offer Details

New customer offers are a common feature of the crowded market for sports betting sites, and Rhino Bet runs one of its own. The Rhino Bet welcome offer provides £10 in free bet credits and 25 free spins to customers who register and place a bet of at least £25. Two conditions apply: the Rhino Bet promo code b25g10fb25fs must be entered on the sign up page, and the first bet must be placed at odds of at least even money, or 2.00 in decimal odds.

Once the qualifying bet has settled, win or lose, the £10 in free bet credits and 25 free spins are added. These credits are not immediately withdrawable and are held separately from the main balance. They do not have to be used all at once and can be staked in smaller amounts on any sportsbook market, in the same way as the main balance. They expire after seven days.

Any returns from bets placed with free bet credits appear in the main balance as withdrawable funds. It is worth noting that a winning wager placed with free bet credits returns the profit only and not the original stake, which is typical of free bet offers.

While the new customer offer is fairly straightforward, existing customer promotions at Rhino Bet are limited. There were none available at the time of writing, although the Rhino Bet Twitter page indicated that offers linked to specific football matches appear on a weekly basis.

For example, a past offer provided a £5 free bet to customers placing a £20 first goalscorer wager on the Omonia Nicosia vs Manchester United Europa League fixture. Another gave 25 spins on the “Rock the Reels” slots game to those placing a £20 Bet Builder on the AC Milan vs Chelsea Champions League tie. Similar offers may appear in future, particularly during the football season.

Rhino Bet Free Bet

The new customer offer and the match-specific promotions described above are currently the only routes to a Rhino Bet free bet, which is a narrower range than at some rival operators that run ongoing loyalty promotions and free bet deals, all of which carry their own terms and conditions.

Is Rhino Bet Safe?

Sportsbooks covered on Bettingsitesreviewed are checked for licensing and legitimacy, and Rhino Bet is licensed accordingly. Playbook Gaming, which operates the Rhino Bet site, is an established company with a number of betting sites under its umbrella, and it is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. Rhino Bet also publishes a detailed privacy policy setting out how customers’ personal details are handled and protected.

Sports Available At Rhino Bet

Rhino Bet states that it has “removed all the noise that most betting sites feel they have to create” by focusing on the more popular sports. That approach is reflected in the range of sporting events listed. Many sites offer around 30 different sports to wager on, while at the time of writing this article, Rhino Bet offers 18.

Whether that matters will depend on the individual, as the widely followed sports are covered, including football, horse racing, golf, tennis and the big four USA sports of American football, baseball, basketball and ice hockey. The absence of badminton, handball and volleyball markets, among others, may go unnoticed by many of the punters visiting the Rhino Bet sports betting site, although one notable omission is Esports, particularly given its growing popularity with punters.

Horse racing is given considerable prominence and appears front and centre on the Rhino Bet home page. The next three races are displayed, along with the current prices of the top six runners and riders. There is also a list of that day’s race meetings, allowing navigation to a particular one. In addition, the home page allows toggling from horse racing to greyhound racing markets.

Site Features

Features on the Rhino Bet site include a football Bet Builder, which combines different selections from one match, such as the match result, number of goals and specific scorers, into an accumulator bet. Rhino Bet also lists daily price boosts and special bets for a number of sports, along with a Best Odds Guaranteed racing feature, under which a higher price applies if a horse backed to win on the day of a race wins at longer odds than those taken. A cash out option is available on certain bets across multiple sports before the end of the event, settling the bet early rather than leaving it to run, subject to the terms that apply.

Site Navigation

Usability is a notable characteristic of Rhino Bet, largely because the site is streamlined and uncluttered. One reason for this is that Rhino Bet’s casino offering is mostly housed within its own section. As a result, apart from a few small windows highlighting selected slots at the side of the page and a couple of ads at the top, the sports betting section of the Rhino Bet UK site is largely free of casino game content.

The smaller number of sports also means that locating particular matches and markets via the list on the left-hand side of the home page is straightforward. Once a sport has been selected, finding a specific match is simple too, thanks to a clear list at the top of every sports page that directs the user onwards in a few taps or clicks.

When it comes to betting on team sports such as football, the option to toggle between different markets such as match winner, goal/points totals and handicaps, with the selection applying to every match shown, means there is no need to leave the main sports page to view different markets.

Rhino Bet Odds Compared

With thousands of markets available at a typical sportsbook, no operator offers the shortest or longest prices across the board, aside from the effect of the Best Odds Guaranteed feature outlined earlier in this Rhino Bet review. Price comparison sites can be used to compare the prices at Rhino Bet with those of its rivals. When we cross-referenced a selection of prices across multiple sports on the Rhino Bet site, we found them to be broadly similar to those elsewhere.

Bet Limits

The minimum stake at Rhino Bet is 10p, which applies to single or multiple bets. The maximum stake varies depending on the event, so higher-staking bettors may wish to check the limits that apply to their chosen market. For both deposits and withdrawals, Rhino Bet sets a minimum amount of £1.

In-Play Betting

Live betting is widely used, so the in-play service is a relevant point of comparison for newer sportsbooks. Rhino Bet offers live betting on almost every sport featured on the site, with the exception of horse racing. A range of in-play markets is available for each event, and some matches are accompanied by a play-by-play graphic featuring up-to-date statistics and match events.

Live Streaming

There is no live streaming available at Rhino Bet, though the play-by-play graphics provide some coverage of events in progress.

Customer Service

There is no Rhino Bet live chat facility and no specific “Contact Us” section, only a small section at the bottom of the home page with links to Twitter and Facebook. We could not find any mention of an email address on the site, but a search online turned up “[email protected]”, and when we emailed with queries on a few separate occasions, we received adequate replies in around 10 minutes.

How registration works at Rhino Bet

This part of our Rhino Bet review outlines how the account process works: registering, placing a first bet, the conditions attached to the Rhino Bet new customer offer, and how withdrawals are handled.

Step 1: Rhino Bet’s platforms

The first stage involves the Rhino Bet desktop or mobile betting site, or the app available from iTunes or Google Play.

Step 2: Account creation

From the homepage, the “Sign Up” button leads to a form requesting an email address and a chosen password. The Rhino Bet promo code “b25g10fb25fs” is entered at this point, as it is a condition of the Rhino Bet new customer offer. The remaining personal details are then requested to complete registration.

Step 3: Depositing funds

Once an account is set up and logged in, clicking the account balance at the top right-hand side of the screen opens the deposit page. From there, a payment method and an amount are selected, followed by the “Deposit” button. Note that the Rhino Bet welcome offer carries a minimum deposit requirement of £25.

Step 4: The qualifying bet

The Rhino Bet UK sign up deal requires a £25 wager at odds of at least Evs (2.00). The full list of sports sits on the left-hand side of the screen, and selecting a sport brings up a list of matchups. Clicking a specific event displays the markets and odds available. Clicking a particular price adds it to a bet slip on the right-hand side of the screen, followed by “Place Bet”.

Step 5: How the bet credits work

Shortly after the opening wager has been settled, £10 in free bet credits should appear in the “Account” section, accessed by clicking in the right-hand corner of the desktop site or tapping in the top right-hand corner of the Rhino Bet app. Using them involves selecting a bet, entering a stake and pressing the “Use Bet Credits Free” button.

If such a bet returns, the profits are added to the main account balance, though, as is standard with free bet offers, the original free bet stake is not returned on winning wagers. The free bet credits also expire after seven days.

Step 6: Withdrawing funds

To withdraw some or all of a betting balance, the account button leads to a “Withdraw” option. From there, an amount and the payment method it should be returned to can be entered, followed by “Withdraw” once again.

Rhino Bet App

Rhino Bet has a betting app for both iOS and Android, available on the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store. Links to download both also appear at the very bottom of the Rhino Bet mobile site.

In terms of site functionality, the Rhino Bet app closely mirrors the desktop site, with account details in the top right-hand corner, selected offers at the top, upcoming horse races below, then live events and selected upcoming matches below that. The layout is uncluttered and straightforward to navigate, much like the desktop site, and little is lost on the smaller, portrait screen. Rhino Bet’s dark background with white and green lettering also translates clearly to a mobile screen.
