The turf Mile race sees <strong>Porta Fortuna\u00a0<\/strong>face\u00a0<strong>Notable Speech<\/strong>. Chief among those is <strong>EAST AVENUE<\/strong> for Brendan Walsh and Godolphin. <strong>Chance McPatrick<\/strong> heads across America after a hat-trick of wins on the Atlantic Coast.<\/p>\n<p>More local to Del Mar, meanwhile, is <strong>Gaming<\/strong> &#8211; the pick of Bob Baffert\u2019s trio as the California trainer seeks a record sixth win and third in the race since 2018. <strong>Jonathan\u2019s Way<\/strong> completes the as yet undefeated quartet. <strong>Ferocious<\/strong> and <strong>Citizen Bull<\/strong> are ones at bigger prices who could get in amongst those big guns with lofty reputations.<\/p>\n<h3>Prevagen Breeders&#8217; Cup Juvenile Turf (1m)<\/h3>\n<p><iframe title=\"HENRI MATISSE retains unbeaten record with Futurity Stakes triumph\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DJSueXcXFt4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>With a record six wins in the race already, anything saddled by Aidan O\u2019Brien commands respect, so <strong>HENRI MATISSE<\/strong> looks value back on quicker ground with his Curragh Futurity form franked by the runner-up, Hotazhell. That one has subsequently landed both the Beresford Stakes and Doncaster Futurity Trophy last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Godolphin and Charlie Appleby have three previous victories in this, so both <strong>Aomori City<\/strong> and <strong>Al Qudra<\/strong> are worth a second look. The latter couldn\u2019t beat <strong>New Century<\/strong> at Woodbine the last day, so that brings Qatar Racing\u2019s runner into calculations. <strong>Zulu Kingdom<\/strong>, as yet unbeaten, looks the clear best of the home team.<\/p>\n<h2>Breeders&#8217; Cup 2024 Preview &#8211; Saturday Races<\/h2>\n<h3>PNC Bank Breeders&#8217; Cup Filly &amp; Mare Sprint (7f)<\/h3>\n<p><iframe title=\"Society - 2024 - Ballerina Handicap\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3cCThgwgUkY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Although <strong>Ways And Means<\/strong> brings good form to the table, older fillies boast a better record here. Therefore, <strong>SOCIETY<\/strong> is the selection on a really eye-catching Ballerina Handicap victory over re-opposing duo <strong>Scylla<\/strong> and <strong>Vahva<\/strong>. This is despite being worse off at the weights with both.<\/p>\n<p>From those at bigger prices, <strong>Soul Of An Angel<\/strong> has the potential to reinvent herself over this new distance as she remains unexposed at it. Ways And Means could easily do likewise for the Chad Brown barn that landed consecutive editions of this with Goodnight Olive.<\/p>\n<h3>Prevagen Breeders&#8217; Cup Turf Sprint (5f)<\/h3>\n<p><iframe title=\"Cogburn - 2024 - The Jaipur Presented by Resolute Racing\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gdL8U6DfNUc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Steve Asmussen has a real star on his hands in Jaipur Stakes hero <strong>COGBURN<\/strong>, who broke the track record that day, has been excellent all year and beat the previous winner of this race in 2023. On that basis, and his unbeaten campaign this term, he\u2019s the one to beat.<\/p>\n<p>Wide draws are an issue for British runners <strong>Big Evs<\/strong> (successful stateside 12 months ago) and <strong>Bradsell<\/strong>, but the latter always seems to find a way of besting old rival <strong>Believing<\/strong>. <strong>Motorious<\/strong> is interesting for the home team, while Godolphin filly <strong>Star Of Mystery<\/strong> could also go well.<\/p>\n<h3>Longines Breeders&#8217; Cup Distaff (1m 1f)<\/h3>\n<p><iframe title=\"Thorpedo Anna lands Kentucky Oaks glory!\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JPQwhjofFr0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This will hopefully be the coronation that <strong>THORPEDO ANNA<\/strong> deserves as the best filly on dirt around. She\u2019s been untouchable against fellow females, taking on all-comers and winning at major meets throughout the campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Thorpedo Anna&#8217;s CV includes the Kentucky Oaks, Acorn Stakes and Coaching Club American Oaks. She lost nothing in defeat to Fierceness in the Travers Stakes either and bounced right back with yet more Grade I success the last day.<\/p>\n<p>While Japanese raider <strong>Awesome Result<\/strong> could be anything, <strong>Raging Sea<\/strong> is the main danger to Kenneth McPeek&#8217;s superstar after demonstrating plenty of improvement. <strong>Candied<\/strong> could also be one in the frame here.<\/p>\n<h3>Longines Breeders&#8217; Cup Turf (1m 4f)<\/h3>\n<p><iframe title=\"REBEL&#039;S ROMANCE reigns in the Breeders&#039; Cup Turf for James Doyle and Charlie Appleby\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oFXHi6Ixasw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The 2022 winner <strong>REBEL\u2019S ROMANCE<\/strong> brings strong international form to the table, while his King George third behind Goliath and Bluestocking also reads well. He can regain the crown he didn&#8217;t defend for Godolphin last year.<\/p>\n<p>Although <strong>Emily Upjohn<\/strong> has her last hurrah here and <strong>Luxembourg<\/strong> needs to truly prove his stamina, the Aidan O\u2019Brien second string <strong>Wingspan<\/strong> is interesting off bottom weight back on a sounder surface.<\/p>\n<p>With staying power a concern for <strong>Jayarebe<\/strong>, the in-form <strong>Far Bridge<\/strong> could go well. Japanese runner <strong>Shahryar<\/strong> seeks to improve on his third in this 12 months ago, alongside the fourth and track specialist <strong>Gold Phoenix<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Longines Breeders&#8217; Cup Classic (1m 2f)<\/h3>\n<p><iframe title=\"Sierra Leone Wins the 2024 Toyota Blue Grass (G1)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WCZqiiWVaiQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Very competitive and, although <strong>City Of Troy<\/strong> has had plenty of fans from his side of the Atlantic, the likely tactics of going forward might bring the stamina of Coolmore owner companion <strong>SIERRA LEONE<\/strong> into play.<\/p>\n<p>The Kentucky Derby second has run a string of fine races in defeat, so that form obviously highlights Japan\u2019s <strong>Forever Young<\/strong> as well. There is almost nothing between them on Churchill Downs form.<\/p>\n<p>Last year&#8217;s Breeders&#8217; Cup Juvenile hero\u00a0<strong>Fierceness<\/strong> also commands respect on that and other runs despite his Kentucky Derby blip in May. At bigger prices, meanwhile, <strong>Ushba Tesoro<\/strong> and <strong>Highland Falls<\/strong> could also get in amongst the three-year-olds they\u2019re giving weight to.<\/p>\n<h3>Maker&#8217;s Mark Breeders&#8217; Cup Filly &amp; Mare Turf (1m 3f)<\/h3>\n<p><iframe title=\"War Like Goddess - 2023 - The Joe Hirsch\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qmNjyxwYi2Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A step into the unknown stamina wise for many, but not for Bill Mott\u2019s <strong>WAR LIKE GODDESS<\/strong> who stays further. Godolphin&#8217;s strong recent record means Notable Speech is a serious threat, however.<\/p>\n<p>In-form duo <strong>Johannes<\/strong> and <strong>Carl Spackler<\/strong> look the best of the home team.
